Make it Public is a campaign involving people and organisations across the research community, working together to achieve our vision of trusted information from health and social care research studies being publicly available for the benefit of everyone.
We work with organisations and people from across the research community to understand areas for improvement, discuss how we could improve research transparency and highlight good practice.
Make it Public campaign
We are holding a research transparency webinar focusing on the importance of sharing results with participants.
It will be held on Thursday 2 October 2025 from 2pm to 4pm.

In 2023 and 2024, we held a dedicated Make it Public week. Over seven days, we promoted the campaign by sharing insights, guidance and examples of good practice to support improvements in transparency.

Make it Public Group
Realising our vision will take the combined efforts of all involved in research. To support this, we established the Make it Public group.
The group includes a diverse range of members from across government, charity, life sciences sectors, public contributors and academics.
They are responsible for:
- championing research transparency across the sector; exploring ways to increase awareness and confidence in research transparency,
- sharing expertise and experience across group activities,
- driving the development and dissemination of transparency best practice and case studies,
- highlighting the various ways in which implementation of HRA transparency strategy will impact stakeholders across the sector
