Research summary
C4X Discovery Ltd is a company based in the UK. Our goal is to develop new and more effective medicines for disorders such as Parkinson’s Disease. We do that by analysing genetic data in a different way than classical methods. Our method is able to identify patterns in the genetic data that can explain different disease sub-types. We have applied our method to a Parkinson’s Disease genetic dataset that was made available to us in the UK. We discovered three potential disease sub-types, each having specific genetic susceptibilities. We would like to confirm and explore further these very interesting results on a dataset obtained from NIH via dbGap.
