    The aim of this study is to see if any clinical test, or combination of tests used in that clinic predict a scaphoid fracture on MRI scan. Our previous published research on this area (2021) showed some positive results but were not conclusive. We aim to increase the cohort of patients to expand on this prior research.

    Clinical assessment and detection of a scaphoid fracture remains a diagnostic challenge. prior clinical prediction rules have failed to be replicated and there is disagreement on appropriate imaging protocols.
    We provide review of the largest single cohort of patients with possible scaphoid fractures. We review five commonly used clinical tests and look for statistical probability of a scaphoid fracture. We also propose to perform a safety and cost analysis of our scaphoid pathway against recent NICE and RCEM guidelines for cost effectiveness comparison.
