    Routine clinical samples sent on patients for immunological or neuroimmunological testing will be housed within the Joint Neuroimmunology and Immunology Biobank, along side a cohort of sampels of CSF and blood that have been specifically consented for when patients in GGC healthboard area undergo routine tests such as lumbar puncture or venepuncture. These samples are all stored within the neuroimmunology lab. in Queen Elizabeth University Hosptial or at University of Glasgow as part of the GGC biorepository. There is generic, or complied consent when the samples are sent for clinical analysis, which is summaries on the results form when results are given.

  • Research programme

    The neuroimmunology biobank will allow access for researchers with an interest in neuroimmunological conditions, both academic and industry. These conditions include GBS, MS and neurodegenerative disorders. They will require to have their own ethics and submit a request which has a quorum of approval from the scientific access commmittee.
