Data collection arrangements
All anonymised samples will be stored in lockable -80 freezers within Laboratory 266, B2-C2 Link Corridor, Main UHW Building, University Hospital of Wales, Heath Park, Cardiff, CF14 4XN. This is a secure site within the Department of Neurology. Samples will be stored adhering to strict HTA guidelines.
Hard copies of Patient/Volunteer consent forms will be stored securely in Room 80G, B4-C4 Corridor, Main UHW Building, University Hospital of Wales, Heath Park, Cardiff, CF14 4XN. Each will be scanned and uploaded to a secure clinical research database, PatientCare, along with any clinical data collected. Access to the database is strictly controlled and password protected.Research programme
The Welsh Neuroscience Research Tissue Bank supports research pertaining to the causes, diagnosis, prognosis or treatment of neurological disease. Research into neuroinflammation, neurodegeneration and neurotherapeutics will be supported.
