  • Research summary

Monitoring of vital signs is crucial to detect deterioration of patients in hospital. Respiratory rate, heart rate and temperature are key vital signs for detection of a number of conditions including sepsis, heart failure, etc. Automated wireless sensors might be able to support clinical teams by measuring these parameters reliably at a rate determined by clinicians while freeing up time for caring and treating of patients.
