Research summary
This is a pilot study to assess the ease of use and quality of images obtained using a particular type (Visionscope) of needle arthroscopy (1.4mm) for the examination of the hip and knee joint. The study population will be drawn from patients listed and receiving conventional arthroscopy (5mm), and whilst under anaesthetic the needle arthroscopy will be used to asses the joint - preceding their conventional (treatment) arthroscopy.
