  • Research summary

An Electronic Health Record (EHR) consolidates all of a patient's clinical data in to one place, and provides a detailed record of all of a patient's medical history. National EHR programs have begun development in the UK but have not as yet been fully developed. A large part of this failure has been due to concerns over security and confidentiality of patient information. Studies have been done in to public and patient views on EHRs but none as yet have looked at patients who have sensitive health information. That is the aim of this study.
