Research summary
Many children who have survived brain tumours suffer from poor sleep years later, which impacts on their wakefulness during the day. The aim of this study is to investigate, in detail, the cause of these sleep problems, in particular whether these problems are actually chronic insomnia as a result of an overly soothing bedtime routine. This will be studied using behavioural analysis of video somnography in the family's home and a clinical interview.
