Research summary
We propose to access blood samples currently stored in the Papworth Tissue Bank, from a previous study of 66 patients called 'VIBE'. Our new study aims to measure a specific set of proteins that were not previously investigated in the VIBE plasma samples. These new measurements will provide information that helps researchers to know if certain proteins occur at higher levels in patients with cardiovascular disease, and potentially helps to identify patients at higher risk of heart attack.
