Research summary
Oral malodour may arise from microbes on the surface of the tongue. In particular, it is thought that certain types of microbes are responsible for this condition. They have the capacity to transform proteins contained in saliva into smelly compounds. By measuring individual’s breath using two different machines such as the SYFT-MS and the NeOse), information may be gained on the use of the NeOse as a novel \nmethod to measure bad breath.
