  • Research summary

We want to explore how the contraction of the heart increases as heart rate increases using an MRI scan. We have previously done this using echocardiography (cardiac ultrasound) but the variability in ultrasound means we might miss some small but nevertheless important changes and need to use many patients to describe their impact. MRI scans are more accurate and we can identify smaller changes that might still be clinically relevant.
