Research summary
The overall aim is to identify a diagnosis tool that can support clinicians when making diagnosis of Myocardial Infarctions (MI), where an echocardiogram (ECG) returns a negative diagnosis.
The objectives are:
• To test whether H-FABP is a suitable substance to detect MI at an appropriate point in pre-hospital care to enable the use of cardiac pathways rather than the default use of Accident and Emergency (A&E)/Emergency Department (ED)
• To test an H-FABP detection tool
• To identify the appropriate combination of diagnosis tools to generate the correct diagnosis in the highest proportion of instancesREC name
