Research summary
This study involves use of Electromyography (EMG) to locate specific spinal nerve root by use of triggered and free run EMG through surface electrodes placed on dermatomes.
The objective of this study is to measure compound action potential in the relative myotome in relation to the distance to a specific spinal nerve root with CT guidance through an electrophysiologic method such as the EMG. This would allow us to work out the relation between distance and height of action potential measured with triggered EMG. This would help us identify if we are too close to the nerve.REC name
