  • Research summary

This study will use existing human tissue and relevant cell lines to study the biological effects that lead to and are caused by human cancers. The project will study genetic changes, cellular alterations and the effects of manipulating the cellular machinery to either prevent or to induce cancerous changes in cells. Human tissue will be used to extract DNA, RNA and protein and to observe the changes in the cells that occur due to human cancers compared with normal tissue.
