Research summary
A pilot study to explore the possible benefits and practical implications of use of a created therapy scanning wall, on the Stroke unit at Leighton Hospital, Crewe.\n\nData collection will take place over a 4 month period, with a minimum of 15 patients. All patients admitted with an acute stroke, who have a visual inattention on assessment will be considered for inclusion. Consent will be gained for participation. All patients will receive standard care with study participants receiving this additional intervention, over a 2 week period. \nThe standard used outcome measure for visual inattention on the ward will be used. An Albert’s test measurement will be taken at baseline, and this will be repeated on day 7 and day 14. \nThe created paper recording sheet of the scanning wall will be completed at baseline, day 7 and day 14.
