Research summary
The main goal of this study is to find out if a drug called nemolizumab is effective for reducing the thickness of the skin (cutaneous thickness) and other symptoms of Systemic Sclerosis (SSc) compared to a placebo (an injection with no medicine in it), and find out the most effective dose of nemolizumab for SSc and make sure it is safe. The Sponsor also wants to find out if the drug helps with problems in the internal organs, like the lungs if applicable, and if the treatment makes participants feel better overall.
