Research summary
This research aims to explore the school experiences of a group of transgender young people in the UK. It is intended that this exploration will reveal what factors participants perceive to help or hinder their educational experiences. Its purpose is to begin to inform the field of educational psychology of the needs and strengths of a group of transgender students and, in turn, to encourage hypothesis generation and suggest future lines of enquiry as to how best educational psychologists may support these students/their schools
