Research summary
This research will involve adult patients who have suffered a major trauma and are currently receiving follow up in a fracture clinic based at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire. Participants will complete a questionnaire to indicate the likelihood of PTSD development (already part of the standard of care) and another to indicate personality traits. Data on the initial injury severity will also be obtained from the patient notes. This data will be used to draw conclusions about links between personality, injury severity and PTSD likelihood.
