Research summary
This study will contribute to the implementation of The Scottish Government's 'TB Action Plan for Scotland’. It will provide: (1) Prevalence data for active and latent TB in Glenochil prison and this will inform decisions about whether or not to recommend TB screening in Scottish prisons; and (2) Information on individual's testing both positive will be used to design appropriate services for hard to reach individuals in prison and the community.
This will be a cross-sectional study. Mantoux testing, in line with the national 'Green Book' on immunisation will be conducted to screen prisoners for latent or active TB. Associated charactertistics will be collected using a questionnaire.REC name
