  • Research summary

The aim of this study is to understand how people with different forms of arthritis manage fatigue in their daily lives. In particular we are interested in how people use Arthritis Research UK information on managing fatigue. We will interview people with one of three forms of arthritis: rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and Sjogren’s syndrome. After a first interview, the person being interviewed will be given a copy of the Arthritis Research UK booklet 'Fatigue and Arthritis' to read and use. The interviewer will return 4-6 weeks later to conduct another interview and to talk about the impact of the booklet. By doing this we will gain new insights into the way people with different conditions deal with fatigue on a daily basis and the type of information that is useful. As a result Arthritis Research UK will be able to improve the information they provide.
