Data collection arrangements
Samples will be stored in the GCLP freezer facility on the 3rd and 5th floor of the UCD building, Royal Liverpool University Hospital, Liverpool. Consent forms will be stored in PBRU office 2 (4 digit key code) on the 3rd floor of the UCD building in a key locked cabinet.
Data will be retained in an anonymised database secured via NHS computer system, which is daily backed up.
Freezers are monitored 24/7 by the use of Pharmagraph, with alerts being sent via text to designated individuals.Research programme
The biobank supports the research of Pancreatic diseases which are being undertaken by PhD students, Post Doctoral researchers and Clinical Fellows in the Pancreatic Biomedical Research Unit.
