Research summary
The study involves exploring lived experiences to find attributes for successful brain injury rehabilitation cases based on an initial high cost placement. The main unit of research focusses on the rehabilitation process, divided in sub-units that can be identified as residents, family or next of kin, staff and funders. Eligible participants are residents, or former residents, who successfully underwent this particular traumatic brain injury rehabilitation programme. The study will be conducted at Oakleaf Care in Northampton. It is expected that the study may take up to twelve months. Participants will undergo semi-structured interviews and where appropriate, personal observation from the researcher.
