Research summary
The research project is being undertaken as part of an MSc in Trauma Orthopaedics. The student, under the supervision of a clinical and academic supervisor, will be responsible for data collection and interpretation. this will involve undertaking one-to-one interviews with people following their Total Hip replacement surgery. Potential participants will be approached in clinic and given a Participant Information Sheet and the study will be explained to them with an opportunity to ask questions. If the participant is interested in participating in the study they will be asked to return an expression of interest slip. Once they have undergone total hip replacement the participant will be contacted by telephone to arrange an interview to be conducted in their homes.
