Research summary
The aim of the research study is to look at ways of improving the monitoring of patients during dialysis. The research study will evaluate a method of monitoring patients’ blood pressure and heart function continuously during dialysis. We will then use sophisticated computer programmes to process this information, so we can start to predict when falls in blood pressure are going to happen before they actually do. In the future, this will hopefully allow us to improve the way that dialysis treatments are carried out.
