  • Research summary

The healthWorks Project 2015-2017 is looking at exploring the experience of patients who have received an allied health professional advisory fitness for work report. Known as the “Fitness for Work Report”, this is a rehabilitation tool designed to be given directly to the patient by an AHP to support returning to work after an accident, illness or disability. However, since its launch in 2012, this report form has not been widely adopted by AHPs. The healthWorks project will initially train staff in how to use the “Fitness for Work Report”. It will then use telephone interviews, to explore patient’s experiences in receiving one.
