Research summary
This study addresses two questions. What are the costs and patterns of health and social care use by patients with the most severe relational disturbance? What are the clinical and service use predictors which would facilitate identification of these patients within public sector services to establish service need and resource allocation to therapeutic pathways?
The study will use retrospective data collected as part of routine NHS and social care to describe the cost and patterns of health and social care service use. The study will include patients identified by Honos Scores and ICD diagnoses using health and social care services in Devon and West London. The study will last for nine months from the time ethical approval is agreed.
