Research summary
This study will be aimed at finding out the top child and adolescent health problems that concern parents/guardians and paediatricians at Great Ormond Street Hospital. There are many child health problems, from a clinical and psycho-social perspective that raise concern. These issues range from cyber-bullying, obesity, and autism to asthma, diabetes and many others. Finding out the top concerns will assist paediatricians understand underlying issues that may come up for discussion in the consulting room, as well as provide the National Health System (NHS) with valuable information for policy decisions.
Parents or Guardians and Paediatricians at the Great Ormond Street Hospital will be selected for the study. These will be asked through a questionnaire to review a list of thirty child health problems and indicate which ones create the highest concerns to them. Each questionnaire will last less than 10 minutes, and the study will run from May 2018, to June 2019, targeting a sample of about 400 parents & guardians, as well as 200 paediatricians.
