Research summary
The experiences of people living under Compulsion & Restriction Order (CORO) in Scotland.
This study tries to better understand the experience and views of people who are living under Compulsion Order and Restriction Order (CORO) in Scotland. There is a gap in our understanding of the experiences of people who are under compulsory treatment, particularly COROs. In this study, special emphasis will be paid to the views and experiences of people who are living under CORO.
Participants are people (age 18 years +) who are currently living under a CORO and are living in hospital or in the community (conditionally discharged).
Participants will be offered the opportunity to take part in a semi-structured interview (maximum time 60 minutes) discussing their experiences of life under CORO. If participants consent to interview these will be conducted in Health and Social Care settings deemed suitable and appropriate to the safety needs of participants and the researcher by the participants Clinical Care Teams.
