Research summary
This project uses extended one-to-one interviews, to learn more about what the experience of only-eye surgery is like. In particular, we want to find out how glaucoma patients and ophthalmic surgeons make sense of the only-eye experience for themselves. The stories they have to tell about their lives before, during, and after such a significant happening will help us to do this. The research aims to demonstrate how rich personal testimony generates mutual understanding and influences people’s decisions, values and actions.
