  Chronic cough is a condition where a person continues to cough for a long time, often for more than one year. In some people, the cough does not improve even after treating known causes. This is called refractory chronic cough.
  This condition can have a strong impact on daily life. It may disturb sleep, affect work and social activities, and reduce overall quality of life. There are currently limited treatment options for this condition.
  The medicine being studied is nalbuphine in an extended-release tablet form. Nalbuphine acts on the nervous system and may reduce the urge to cough. This study aims to find out if this medicine can safely reduce coughing in people with refractory chronic cough.
