Research summary
The study’s overarching aim is to identify what, if any, impact the introduction of uniformed research nurses would have on the recruitment and retention of research participants. To address this aim, the following questions are proposed to investigate the issue further;
* What impact do uniformed research nurses have in terms of their relationship with research participants?
* How does wearing a uniform influence the recruitment and retention of research participants?
* What effect does a uniformed nurse have in terms of power relations between research nurses and participants?
* What are the perceptions of other healthcare professional towards uniformed research nurses?
This piece of research shall utilise participants who are aged 18 years and above only.
A cohort of research participants shall be asked to complete a questionnaire, alongside a staff cohort who shall be divided into two separate focus groups.
