Research summary
This study will investigate the impact of community-based lung screening. Individuals undergoing lung cancer screening as part of the Manchester Early Detection of Lung Disease Pilot will be invited to attend a Lung Health Check on the same day as their scan. This check will include an assessment of symptoms, smoking, and heart disease risk. In addition biological samples will be taken to see if lung disease can be detected in blood, sputum or nasal samples.
