    Clinical Research Nurses play a major role in the implementation of clinical trials in the National Health Service (NHS). Research work thus far has focused on describing their role and responsibilities but also the challenges they face in their work environment. It has been speculated that Clinical Research Nurses may have a positive effect on hospitalized patient care but no attempts have been made to explore this hypothesis. Therefore the purpose of the present study is to answer the following research question:
    1) How do clinical research nurses contribute to patient’s quality of care and NHS experience?
    The purpose of the present study is to explore the influence of Clinical Research Nurses on patient’s quality of care and NHS experience as described by the patients themselves.
