Research summary
The study is a randomised controlled trial evaluating the effectiveness of a structured education programme for people who have been identified as being at high risk of developing cardiovascular disease. The education programme will promote positive health behaviours with regard to medication adherence and lifestyle with the intention of improving medication adherence to statins and other modifiable CVD risk factors. We anticipate we will observe these improvements for intervention patients at the 12 month visit.
