Research summary
The study is a randomised controlled trial evaluating the effectiveness of a structured education programme for people who have been identified at high risk of developing cardiovascular disease. The education programme will promote positive health behaviours with regard to medication adherence and lifestyle changes, with the intention of improving medication adherence to statins and other modifiable CVD risk factors. We anticipate we will observe these improvements in intervention patients at 12 months.
