  • Research summary

This project is trying to understand how much Solar mental health crisis service is helping the children and young people age 10-19, as well as their parents, to fight their children’s mental health issues.
We are planning to use a different set of information to help us to understand how much Solar and its crisis service is helping children and young people. Besides, we want to know how much crisis service is helping children and young people in developing self-management skills needed to recognise and prevent future crises early. The reappearance of the mental health issue can be an indicator of how good Solar is doing its intended job. This research will use a newly developed test, that tells us how much children and young people improved their mental health after leaving Solar.
Also, the proposed strategy would recognise both children and young people’s and parental experiences, their opinions, as well as how happy are they with current crisis service provision. It is also essential to find out how much overall community is pleased with the Solar and its crisis service, as Solar is a part of the community.
Therefore, it is essential to understand how much Solar and its crisis service are accepted in their community, and how much they contribute to the community. The opinions of general practitioners, school nurses and teachers are vital to us, as this can help us to improve the Solar and its crisis service
Our findings can help inform the public and related services in the hope that we can develop similarly mental health services for children and young people
