  • Research summary

This feasibility study explores the addition of rapid neurodevelopmental Structured Professional Judgement tools (ESSENCE-D and NEURO-Obs assessment) with Therapeutic Assessment (TA) in crisis services for children and young people (CYP). The study will assess the feasibility, acceptability, and implementation of this rapid assessment model, aiming to inform a future multicenter Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT). The quicker assessment will allow for the identification of CYP neurodiversity needs and allow these needs to be met. Meeting these neurodevelopmental needs will also allow young people to move forward quickly in their journey towards understanding themselves
