Research summary
We have developed an in vitro tissue culture device called the CoED, that can be used to purify tumour targeting T cells from blood.
We hope that using the CoED we will be able to purify, activate and functionalise T cells that can then be transferred to patients to target a range of different types of cancer.
To further these projects towards translational applications we will purify T cells from whole human blood samples in order to confirm the feasibility of translating our technology to the clinic. We will apply to the local NHS Tissue bank (NHSBT) for whole blood samples to further our research.REC name
