Research summary
This research is a case study investigating the systems and processes for communication between staff, and carers and relatives of patients on a mental health adult inpatient ward. The researcher is seeking to explore and understand why communication is such a challenge, though analysis of systems and processes. The data gathering will include 3 methods; documentary review, observations, and semi-structured interviews with staff, and relatives and carers of patients. An inpatient ward within the trust and will be the instrumental case.
