Data collection arrangements
The tissue bank will collect and store clinical data (including imaging) and tissues from patients with musculoskeletal disorders and related conditions. All samples will be collected following fully informed and written consent. The samples will be stored within the Biorepository of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust according to its Human Tissue Authority storage licence.
Research programme
The tissue bank will support the musculoskeletal research work of STH NHS FT, the University of Sheffield, their collaborators, and the broader musculoskeletal research community. All applications for use of sample will be reviewed for approval by the steering committee of the tissue bank.
