Research summary
The overarching aim of this study is to investigate the influence of hormone therapy brand changes on treatment adherence and side effects in those patients' receiving treatment for breast cancer. A nine month nationwide observational mixed-methods cohort study will be conducted to monitor patients' reported side effects, alongside their self-reported adherence levels and any changes to their hormone therapy prescription or brand. Additionally, embedded in-depth qualitative interviews will be conducted in a subset of these patients to gain a deeper understanding their experiences.
