Research summary
Gaining too much weight during pregnancy is linked with adverse health outcomes for both mother and infant. One way to help (non-pregnant) people manage their weight is to promote regular self weighting, and this may be one way to help pregnant women manage weight gain during pregnancy.
However, previous attempts to get pregnant women to weigh themselves during pregnancy have been unsuccessful. It's unclear why women do not do this.
The purpose of this study is to investigate thoughts and feelings to self-weighing during pregnancy.REC name
