Research summary
This study aims to look at swallowing and quality of life outcomes in patients with oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma. It will compare these outcomes in patients treated with primary surgery (transoral laser microsurgery) and those treated
with non-surgical therapy i.e. chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
Two questionnaires, the MD Anderson Dysphagia Inventory (MDADI) and University of
Washington Quality of Life (UW-QOL)Questionnaire will be used to assess these outcomes.REC name
