  • Research summary

The purpose of the study is to determine whether over 44 year olds would prefer to perform high or low resistance exercise as part of their home exercise programme and why. The group of patients involved will have knee pain as it is one of the most common complaints seen in Physioworks, the primary care musculoskeletal Physiotherapy outpatients service in Sheffield. This research is being performed because there appears to be a lack of research investigating a patient’s preference to how they perform their treatment, despite guidelines stating patients should be involved in their own treatment decisions.
