Research summary
Primary Research Question: Population (P), Intervention (I), Comparison (C), Outcome (O), Timeline (T): P In newborns between 28 to 43 weeks presenting with cardiac arrest at birth I does providing Cardiac compressions (CC)+Sustained inflation (SI) C compared to 3:1 Compression to ventilation (C:V) O decrease the incidence of neonatal mortality T within initial hospital stay?
Hypotheses to be tested
Primary hypothesis: The hypothesis for this study is that the incidence of neonatal mortality within initial hospital stay of life will be lower with CC+SI compared 3:1 C:V in newborns at birth.
Secondary hypotheses: The benefits associated with CC+SI will i) reduce time to return of spontaneous circulation and ii) improve short- and long-term outcome.REC name
