Research summary
In England, Pakistani and Bangladeshi groups often lose babies more than White mothers. This is worse for ethnic minority families from poorer areas. Ethnic minority families also tend to have worse experiences of maternity care.
Many women become pregnant again soon after their loss. Women often need support during these new pregnancies as evidence suggests that this can be a distressing time. However, we do not know what support ethnic minority women would like.
This project will aim to explore the maternity care experiences of Bangladeshi and Pakistani mothers in pregnancies after previously losing a baby and what support these women would like.
