Research summary
This research wants to understand how patients who have attended the Emergency Department with a headache behave after discharge.
We want to understand what other healthcare patients use after discharge. This will include visits to general practice, the ambulance service, re-visits to the emergency department, hospital clinics and community services.
Further to this we want to understand the reasons why patients use these services using telephone interviews. This will allow us as researchers to understand how to improve the emergency department experience and access to follow-up services.
