Research summary
This is a non-interventional study (meaning it does not effect the care patient recieves), multi-centre study. This study will happen across Switzerland, Spain and the UK. This multi-centre study will be run across ~8 hospital sites in the UK and will collect data from up to 500 patients.
This study investigates the real-world outcomes of Wegovy® treatment on body weight among individuals following medically supervised weight management practices according to UK guidelines.
This study aims to describe how well this treatment works, including change in body weight, waist circumference, body mass index (BMI), obesity related laboratory values / conditions and treatments used for those conditions.
Physicians will review medical records for patients treated with Wegovy® and enter patient information into an online form at 4 points across 2 years. Physicians will gather data on Wegovy® dosing, body measurements, obesity related events / conditions, obesity related lab values, other treatments, drug-related adverse reactions and discontinuation of Wegovy®. Additionally, patients will be asked to complete an electronic questionnaire.
Patients will be asked to complete the online questionnaire at 8 timepoints across the 2-year period. This will capture patient-reported outcomes through validated measures including EQ-5D-5L (health status), TSQM-9 (treatment satisfaction and convenience), ADAQ (adherence/taking the medication as instructed), and WPAI (work productivity and impairment). Data will be reported as aggregated (grouped) results.REC name
