  • Research summary

10 patients with active rheumatoid arthritis (as measured by Disease Activity Score (28 joint count) >3.2) will be invited to take part in the study. Blood and urine samples will be taken to examine the impact of simple factors such as timing and stability of sample, diurnal rhythms (activities or behaviours that follow day-night cycles, such as breakfast-lunch-dinner schedules) diet, and fasting. Samples will be performed at various time points over one month to compare stability. The data gathered will be compared to other datasets from previous studies to inform the collection of samples in routine practice.
